Well hello!

 

My name is Mary and I'm a senior...so excited to graduate! And of course go with yall to Swaziland. I'll be 18 in June and I have an older brother, older sister, younger brother, and younger sister, so yes, I'm in the middle of a large family. Family means a lot to me, as well as the traveling we've all done together. YoungLife is has also been a HUGE part of my life growing up. I'm from Texas, near San Antonio in Boerne, and am ready for this opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and put myself aside this summer. Last summer, I went to Haiti for a week and a half with Oak Hills, my church, and had such an incredible experience. It was amazing how being there changes you, makes you see how selfish we really are, and strips you of any kind of fascade you put up. That trip inspired me to do another one, so that's how I ended up on this trip.
