This be me!
Hey guys! Christopher Haylett here. You can call me Chris.
I’m 15 years old. On June 9th I’ll finally be 16! I’m a homeschooled sophomore, but I take Choir and French 1 at Yelm, HS. I’m an Air Force kid. So, since my dad is in the Air Force, my family moves around a lot. I’ve never lived anywhere for more than 3 1/2 years. Right now I live in the tiny town of Yelm, WA. And the last place I lived before here was Japan. Hopefully we’ll stay here in WA till I graduate.
I’m the oldest kid in my family I have an awesome brother and two great sisters. And, unlike lots of teens out there, I actually have a really good relationship with my parents.
So, yea, my family’s pretty tight.
Here’s the family!
Travelling is always tons of fun! I’ve been across the country by plane, car, and train. And I’ve been to more places than I wanna take the time to list right now. haha
Train trip! Here’s some of my friends and I on the train in Japan. That’s my bud, James, on the left, I’m in the middle, and good ol’ Ryan on the right.
Sports are awesome! Life would be WAY boring without them. Soccer is definitely the best sport there is. America needs to hurry up and realize that like the rest of the world did decades ago! haha.
Music is definitely another awesomely great thing! Rock is the best. The best bands out there are Thousand Foot Krutch, Anberlin, and Family Force 5! I’m part of my school’s choir and, when I have the time, I sing with my church’s praise band.
I joined God’s family when I was about 5 years old. I don’t know where I’d be if I didn’t have God guiding me along this road we call ‘Life’. I’m uber hyped about getting to go on this mission trip to Swaziland this summer! I can’t wait! Accepting God into my life was the greatest thing that I ever did, and I can’t wait to try to help guide some of the Swazi people toward making that choice for themselves too. I’ve wanted to be a full-time missionary in southern Africa ever since I was just a little kid. Even though I haven’t ever been to any part of Africa yet, I feel like my home is there.
So there ya go! Now you know a bit about me! You can find me on Myspace and Facebook if ya wanna chat or get to know me more. Hit me up!

Hey Christopher-
I’m one of the moms who has a teenager on your team going to Swaziland. We’re also a homeschool family and we LOVE Family Force 5! Their videos crack us up.
We’ve been praying for you already even before we knew your name…praying that God would bring the team members together who needed to go this summer. Now I’ve got another name to pray for.
I lived in Swaziland 2 years as a single missionary back the 80’s and I took Anna/Indie (who is on your team) and her younger sister back there this past year on a short trip. Y’all are in for an amazing time! SWAZILAND IS FABULOUS!!!!
I’ll look for you on fb…is your mom on? At least 3 of us moms are all on and are “friending” each other.
Excited for you,
Elysa MacLellan
