Hello my dear team!!
My name is Jessica and I am also one of your leaders for the Swazi trip this summer. I‘M SO EXCITED TO GO!! I am 20 years old, my favorite color is green, favorite season is fall, and my favorite number is 2. I live with my family in Pennsylvania right outside of Harrisburg. My family includes my mom, dad, two younger brothers, older sister (she lives in GA) and a cat and dog. I’m currently a student at the community college near us where I’m studying music (piano and voice) and I absolutely love it!
I’ve been on trips to Mexico, Zimbabwe, and Swaziland, but never as a leader before so this will be a whole new experience. I love Africa, and like Amy, seem to feel a strong pull to return there time and time again. It was actually when I was about 12 years old, however, that the LORD sp
oke to my heart and gave me a desire to go to the nations. I was alone praying in my room, and I opened the Bible and randomly put my finger down, begging that the Spirit would speak to me and direct me. The Holy Spirit had led me to these verses, “I the LORD have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant to the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.” (Isaiah 42:6-7). I was like, “Ok, God wherever You lead from here on out, I will follow!” In my little 12 year old heart, I so clearly felt the heartbeat of God, the Spirit living inside me, and my trust in Him ad love of Him grew so much deeper that any fears of following Him even to the ends of the earth were completely demolished.

Well, that’s just a little bit about me! Again you guys, I’m so excited to live with you all for a month and learn to love you deeply for amazing creation the LORD has made you as and the way He is working in you all 
to perfect Yourselves in Him. It is such an amazing experience when God brings our hearts and our lives together in such close proximity, teaching us to live with each other and love each other with one purpose and passion! I’m so excited to have you as our other leader and can’t wait to minister with you this summer. I thought your story about God leading you to Isaiah 42:6-7 was really amazing! It is so great how God works!!!!!!! I also think it’s cool that you studying voice! I can’t wait to meet you!!! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through our team this summer!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Jessica-
It’s good to “meet” you. My 15 year old daughter Anna (aka Indie) is on your Ambassador team. We’ve got at least 3 places in common…I’ve traveled to Mexico and used to live in Swaziland pre-AIDS Pandemic Days and was able to visit Zimbabwe when it was still a very stable place to be. I know things are very different over there now but I love it even more. I’m so excited about the time my daughter will be spending there. I know it’s going to be a life changing month.
