Kate Opp’s Bio
[This is Yoko(our exchange student in the yellow), my sister Jesse(in the white), my little brother Peter(on my shoulders), and me (in the blue.)]
Hello every one! My name is Kate Opp. I am currently a sophmore in Highschool and i live in a small town called Stanwood in Washington. My favorite activities are hanging out with my friends, swimming, playing soccer for kicks(cause I’m not very good but i love aggressive sports), and painting/drawing/doing anything artsy. I am a very arts person. I love creating immpressionist art while using different mediums. Also, music is my passion! I love sing and i’m in our schools chamber chior. But i don’t just love to sing, i love to listen to music. I’m not very picky when it comes to music but i do not like country! My favorite types of geners in music are Alternative, Rock, Classic Rock, 70’s-90’s classics, hip/hop and rap. I am very much looking forward to this trip cause i have always wanted to do mission work ever sence i was in the 5th grade. Hope to hear and see you soon!
Kate
You live in Stanwood, Washington?! That is so awesome! I live in Poulsbo, which is right across the water from Seattle. How did you learn about the Adventures in Missions program?
Hey Kate,
I love music too. I’m not to crazy about country either. I’m so excited to be going on this trip with you it is going to be so cool.
wow i didn’t know you live so close! I heard about it from one of my dads friends at work. Apparently their daughter did something with this program and i wanted to try it out. what about you?
I’m so exited too! what kind of music do you like?
Loved reading your bio, Kate. My daughter Anna/Indie is on your team. I’m so excited about seeing who God is bringing together “for such a time as this”.

That is so awesome! I heard about the Adventures in Missions program through the video “Dear Francis”. Have you ever seen it? EVERYONE SHOULD SEE THIS FILM BEFORE OUR TRIP. It was definitely the reason that I want to travel to Swaziland to help with the poverty and AIDS.
I like 70s and 80s music the most and Altern.
i do beleive i’ve seen it. i think i watched when i was trying to decide what place i wanted to go to. what kind of things do you like to do for fun?
i have to agree with all of you.70’s and 80’s rock were the best. do you guys like Queen. I LOVE FREDDY MURCURY!! i probubly spelled that wrong. i think that chandler is a really pretty name by the way. i like original names.
I feel so much better now! i hate not being able t spell well at all. I always feel illiterate when i know i’m not. What do you like to do for fun in Mississippi?
i swim alot! i do year round swim plus high school swim. i used to do plays alot but swim has been eating up all of my time. I also used to play soccer up untill 7th grade and i miss it:( i think i might do that instead of HS swim next year because it’s getting to be a little too much. in Stanwood there really isn’t alot to do. i hang out in town with my friends, go to movies, go to peoples houses and goof around. i also used to play softball but i got hit in the ribs too many time and i didn’t really ike it so i quite. lol.

(and don’t worry about spelling anything wrong with me, I am a HORRIBLE speller.)
π I know how you feel. I am the same way! But where i live, there is not much to do. :/ So it’s normally just hanging out, having fun. π I also swim alot. and play softball, sorta. I didn’t play this year. TOO busy!
ha I am in Jackson, Mississippi (where I moved from) alot to see my friends from there and such. It isn’t too far away. π
I do LOVE to run, but I recently hurt my ankle and have to lay off the running for a little while. π So i am trying to figure out something else i can do. π How about yourself?
