We received a call and the team has safely arrived in South Africa.  They will be staying overnight in a safe hotel and then be driving in to Swaziland in the morning.  The flight was a smooth one, everyone’s bags made it, and they are all excited about starting ministry in Swazi.  Thank you for your prayers.

  5. Thanks, Don, for the good word. While out running errands today I was imagining them landing and then going thru customs. Now I can picture them in their comfy surroundings before heading to Swaziland while we’re still sleeping.

BTW, thanks again for the role you played in their training. Several of us moms have been sharing on fb what our kids said to us in their airport phone calls and ALL of it has been positive about their time at the AIM base. Please pass on my thanks to the others there.

    Bless you all!

  6. Praise the Lord!!!! Thanks for keeping us informed. So many people are praying for them. May the Lord continue to watch over them and lead them as He uses them to be His hands and feet. What an honor and a privledge. To God be the glory!!! We love and miss you LuLu, forever and always…

  7. Thank you God for your blessings on this group of young people (my niece) and sponsors. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  8. Hurray!!! So wonderful to know they have arrived. I want to echo Elysa about training camp. Ani called and said it was the hardest and BEST thing she has ever experienced. She said the bonding was incredible and she feels she is on this adventure with her best friends now. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make training camp intense and life-changing.

Now on to the real ministry. We will continue to pray for lots of opportunities to serve, love, and give. Keep the blogs coming they really keep us connected. It just warmed our hearts to see our kids in the video and hear their voices on the phones before departure.

God bless! Our constant prayers are full of blessings for the AIM staff and challenge for our kids. Here we go….

  10. Praise God!! So glad everyone and bags made it there uneventfully. Praying for a restful night sleep for all the team and safe travels tomorrow.

I too, had a very excited daughter call from the airport and share how awesome training camp was and how she experienced God in a way she never had before. She is so thrilled to be a part of this team and said how close they all had gotten in just a few days. She also commented on how prayerful the leaders and team were about everything. This trip is truly bathed in prayer! Trusting the Lord with our precious children to guide, protect, direct and stretch them.

Thanks so much to the AIM staff for the investment you have made in training these young people. We are so grateful for you!

  13. Thanks for letting us know they arrived safely.. Now I can relax a little..Have been praying all day that they arrived safely and that everything went smoothly..
It’s nice to read all these blogs and read that other parents are saying their girls said the exact same things as my Rachel said to me about the awesome training camp and great leaders and how they have all bonded so fast. Rachel is already dreading the goodbyes after their journey is over, but looking forward to experiencing Swaziland with them and ministering to the people there..She feels truly blessed to be a part of this group and have this opportunity. God works in awesome ways!

  14. It is truly such a blessing and an answer to prayer that I can’t help but to cry with pure joy as I read each and every blog stating the very same thing that our LuLu (Lindsay) told us on the phone the day that they were leaving. She was so very excited and said that the team has bonded so well and that it truly felt like a family. That was the word that she used. She did say that it was the hardest week of her life and said that it felt like boot camp, but said that it was the best week too. The excitement in her voice was so refreshing to this mom to hear. It gave me such a peace. Thanks for all of the prayers and posts. It is wonderful to hear each ones experiences as we wait and watch what the Lord does in and through our children.

    Praying with you,
    Mike and Karen Gill

  15. What great news! It is so precious to see how God is moving in this group and on this mission. The scriptures I see other mom’s writing are the very ones I have been praying. I think God is unifying parents as well as the children to cover them in prayer with one mind and one spirit all for His glory. How comforting. Chandler said the same thing as others Hardest but the best week of her life. Strong in Him. and So amazed at how the team has bonded. I reminded her that is God’s answer to all of our prayers for unity. John 17:20-21,23. He will uphold them with His righteous right hand!!!
