This is my first time blogging

I am not much of a blogger, so I hope this post shows up in the right place (or even shows up at all?). I am really excited to be helping out with the trip this summer. I am confident and assured the Lord will use this experience in many ways. We will be a blessing to the people we are ministering to. But also, we will be transformed to become stronger and more confident in our relationship with Christ. I went on an AIM trip to Peru and it was turning point in my own faith with God.

So, the facts about me is what this post is suppose to be about. I am 22 and from Valparaiso, Indiana. I am graduating from Wabash College this summer with a degree in Biochemistry. I will be attending Indiana University School of Medicine in the fall. I aspire to be a medical missionary somewhere overseas. I want to go into pediatric or emergency medicine. This picture is from last summer at an orphanage in Jaraboca, Dominican Republic. I taught geography and P.E. to kindergarten through fifth grade. I’ll try to write more later, but this is best I can do for now. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

  1. Congrats, your blog post showed up! LOL Can’t wait to meet you! 🙂

  2. So, are you a leader or what? I’m a little confused. Haha, I have a friend who’s name is John Hanson and he spells just like that. 🙂

  3. Good to “meet” you. My daughter Anna (aka Indy) is on the team, too. She has started a fb group if you want to look for it. It’s an easy way to share prayer requests, etc.

  4. Hi John!

I’m really excited to have you help lead us, that’s really neat that you want to do either pediatric or emergency, that’s along the same line I’m thinking for my future, I’m leaning more towards pediatric nursing. Your blog was fine – so no worries there!

    In Jesus,
    Amy<><
